The former candidate for the leader of the Socialist Party in Durrës, Ardit Kërtusha, has denied the State Police, which announced his injury as a crime after the instant conflict.
The 31-year-old claims that he was assassinated where the perpetrator was disguised and prepared with two pistols. He points out that the perpetrator's first pistol was blocked, whereupon he then pulled the second one out of the bag and fired at it where one of the bullets hit him in the leg.
"A young boy came from outside the bar, wearing an anti-covid mask on his face, with dark glasses and a hat on his head. As soon as he approached the table where I was, the assassin pulled out a pistol and fired in my direction. But, the pistol was blocked after he fired only 1 time, while the assassin put his hand in a bag he was carrying, from where he pulled out a second pistol. I left quickly as soon as I saw that the pistol was stuck. He chased me and shot me two more times. One of the bullets hit me in the leg. It is unclear why the Durrës Police rushed to spread a fog about the dynamics of the event, considering it as an "instant conflict", - declared Kërtusha for "Abc".
The event took place this Monday afternoon at the 'Zins' bar, owned by rapper Noizy. So far the police have not provided details about the perpetrator, but are working to arrest him. Also, the blues of Durrës have seized the film footage of the surrounding businesses to reveal the author's itinerary.
Ardit Kërtusha claims that there has been a conflict of about a month over property issues, while previously there were physical clashes.
Ardit Kërtusha ran for president of SP Durrës in 2020 and then withdrew from the race. Prior to the April 25 elections, he joined the Democratic Party and held meetings with Lulzim Basha and was presented by the latter as a socialist disappointed by Edi Rama's government. Ardit Kërtusha has also held the post of head of FRESSH in the coastal city.
