High Prosecutorial Council
The High Prosecutorial Council is expected to open the competition for the election of the Prosecutor General on Tuesday.
The mandate of Chief Prosecutor Olsjan Çela ends in December of this year.
The meeting of the High Prosecutorial Council will announce the start of the procedure for the selection of candidates for Prosecutor General, through a public call for applications.
This meeting will also include representatives from the Prosecutor General, the Ministry of Justice, the EU Delegation and the OPDAT Program.
The Prosecutor General has a 7-year mandate and is not eligible for re-election.
