A serious incident occurred about an hour ago in the city of Durres, near a hotel owned by former mayor Vangjush Dako .

A quantity of TNT was placed inside a suspicious bag, which was left near the hotel entrance, causing panic among the many citizens and tourists in the area.

After being alerted, law enforcement arrived at the scene, cordoning off the area and evacuating the surrounding people.

To neutralize the explosive device, the intervention of specialists from the anti-explosive unit was requested, who carried out the explosion in a controlled manner.

Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incident has created chaos and fear in a tourist area that is extremely popular during this summer period.

Authorities have launched investigations to uncover the perpetrators and motives for planting the explosives.
