A father and son were arrested today in Vlora for illegal possession of weapons.

It is learned that father and son Bledar and Kreshnik Kristo have been arrested.

This is because an automatic rifle with a loaded cartridge ready to fire, 200 cartridges, and a knife were found and seized in their apartment.

Police announcement:

Vlora/The police operation codenamed "Duo" is successfully finalized by the Vlora Police Commissariat, and a case of illegal possession of weapons is cracked.

A father and son were arrested in flagrante delicto for possessing firearms and ammunition in their apartment.

1 automatic firearm with a cartridge in the chamber ready to fire, around 200 rounds of ammunition and 1 cold weapon were seized.

As part of the continuous work to identify and crack down on cases of illegal possession of weapons, as well as to prevent serious criminal events that could occur from their use, the services of the Vlora Police Commissariat, based on information provided by intelligence, successfully organized and finalized the police operation codenamed "Duo".

As a result of this operation, the following citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto: BK, 49 years old, with a previous criminal record for illegal possession of weapons; KK, 21 years old, his son, both residents of the village of Mifol.

During the search of their home in the village of Mifol, the Police found and seized as material evidence 1 automatic firearm with a cartridge in the chamber ready to fire, 1 magazine with ammunition, around 200 cartridges and 1 cold weapon (knife).

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Vlora, for further action.
