Tragic accident of two young Albanians in Italy, 19-year-old arrested for

The 19-year-old Albanian who was injured in a serious accident that occurred the day before in Bologna, Italy, while, together with his 18-year-old friend Valjero Maksuti, who died at the scene, was trying to escape from the police in a stolen Audi vehicle, has been placed in handcuffs by the Italian police.

According to Italian media, he was arrested for vehicular homicide, stolen goods and resisting arrest after the vehicle they were driving was reported stolen in Bologna on the night between September 8 and 9. Witnesses said the car was speeding and the accident looked like an explosion.

A camera captured the entire scene. The green Audi was speeding toward the intersection, but it lost control and hit a light pole. It split in two: metal, tires, and even the engine came out of the car. Inside the wreckage of the Audi, a glass-breaking hammer and burglary tools were found.

Police reconstruction: There was no contact between the two cars

The two young men were fleeing a police car that had stopped the Audi at a red light on Via Tolmino. The car was expensive, and the two drivers were very young. The officers ordered a stop, but when the light turned green, the 19-year-old sped away. A chase ensued, with the Audi traveling at high speed, where it then lost control and crashed into a lamppost. The patrol car, which had lost sight of the Audi for part of the way, arrived shortly after the accident.

The investigation is still in its early stages and it is too early to say where the two boys were going or what they intended to do. It is also unclear who stole the car, it is likely that it was not the two young Albanians who stole the vehicle, but someone else.
