An Albanian has lost his life as a result of an assassination attempt that occurred this Sunday afternoon in Colombia.
The victim has been identified as Artur Tushi , 44 years old, born in Albania, but with Ecuadorian documents.
It is learned that the hired killer was arrested while fleeing the scene on a motorcycle, and the murder weapon was found with him.
A woman who was with Tushi at the time he was shot was also injured in the attack.
Investigations show that Albanian networks play a key role in drug trafficking in Latin America, using Ecuador as a main base for their transatlantic operations.
According to local media, these Balkan criminal groups have sent emissaries to South America to negotiate directly with cocaine producers to secure the lowest possible wholesale price.
