A 54-year-old man was handcuffed, after growing opium narcotics, in an open area in Vlora.

The police discovered 70 plants planted on the author's land with the initials TL, and then seized them as material evidence.

"The coded police operation "Opium" is finished. During this operation, in the village of Drithas, in an open environment, on the land of citizen TL, 70 suspected opium narcotic plants were found cultivated, which after procedural and investigative actions, were seized as material evidence. Following the procedural actions, the citizen TL, 54 years old, resident of Drithas village, suspected of being a grower of narcotic opium plants, was arrested in flagrante delicto," the police announced.

The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office for further action.
