Italian media have published the photo of 45-year-old Marco Romeo, who was arrested in Spain after being suspected of murdering his 28-year-old partner.

With his arrest, the opening of the investigation into the disappearance of the Albanian Sibora Gagani in June 2014 was requested. The request came after Sibora's mother found out that the 45-year-old had been arrested for the murder of his 28-year-old partner, suspecting that it could be her missing daughter.

The authorities suspect that the 45-year-old Italian killed the Albanian Sibora Gagani, but so far there is no evidence to prove it. The girl, who was 22 years old at the time, is still missing.

During that period, it is learned that Marco Romeo said that Sibora had suddenly left the house after an argument, and thought that she had returned to Italy. Her mother has appeared on several TV shows in Italy in search of her daughter.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of Spain, Pedro Sanchez, also reacted to the arrest of the 45-year-old. "It's not another episode. It's one less woman. A victim of male violence," he wrote on Twitter.
