The Archbishop of the Orthodox Church of Albania, Anastas Janullatos, has visited the capital of Greece at the invitation of the Archbishop of Athens and all Greece, Jerome.
Janullatos will participate in an international scientific conference organized by the Holy Synod and the Greek Church on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the religious magazine "Theology".
What stands out is the military reception given to Janullatos in Athens, as he was honored at the airport as if he were a high-ranking soldier. Perhaps it is not for nothing that it has been said that Janullatos actually holds the rank of "colonel" in the Greek army.
"Archbishop Anastas Janullatos was received at the International Airport of Athens "Eleftherios Venizelos", accompanied by a member of the Greek Police, the Vice-President of the Organizing Committee of the Conference, the Metropolitan of Chalkidos Chrysostomos, the General Director of the Communication and Education Service of the Church of Greece (EMYE) and the Secretary of the Organizing Committee, Alexandros Katsiaras, and on behalf of the State, the General Secretary of Hellenism and Public Diplomacy, Yiannis Chrysoulakis", announced the Greek media.
