The Special Court rejected the request of the former mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, to dismiss the case against him.

Thus, Alla's file for corruption with tenders during the time he was running the municipality will now go to trial.

The former mayor of the Socialist Party and 10 others requested a summary trial, while two other defendants requested a normal trial.

Alla was arrested for abusing a tender worth over 2.8 million euros, on the charge of "violating the equality of participants in public tenders or auctions" and "abuse of duty".
