The Tirana Prosecution Office announced today that it has successfully finalized the operation codenamed "Labyrinth 2", targeting a structured criminal group involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics in the capital.

According to the authorities, during the investigations, a total of 33 people were identified, who acted individually or in organized groups, engaging in illegal drug trafficking activities in various forms.

22 of them have been ordered to be held in custody. Five people were arrested earlier during the investigation and six others are wanted.

As part of the operation, the security measure "Arrest in prison" was executed for the following citizens:

Renaldo Dalipi, Engelbert Pjetri, Armandi Hajdini, Olsi Mici, Fatjon Cela (Çela), Xhon Boci, Laert Murataj, Artan Pullazi, Erald Sina, Blerim Mali, Gentjan Vercani, Valerjos Bushi, Olkid Hajdari, Dylber Alijaj, Angjelos Mema, Majdi Musa, Jurgen Hekurani, Erdison Gjella, Abdurahman Bollati, Klodian Rrucaj, Indri Nakaj and Genti Kraja

During the operation, law enforcement seized about 500 grams of suspected cocaine, 10 kilograms of Cannabis Sativa, about 100 doses of this substance, as well as five vehicles, 28 mobile phones, six electronic scales and an amount of 3 thousand euros.

The prosecution reports that the criminal activity was spread across several areas of Tirana, mainly in Bllok, Kamëz, Lapraka, Selitë, Tirana e Re, Shkozë, Ali Demi, Xhamllik, Pazari i Ri, Shkolla e Kuqe, Astir, Myslym Shyri and the Municipality of Paris. The narcotics were sold in bars, tobacconists, taxis, as well as through distribution disguised as various orders.

Investigations showed that during the investigation period, five other people were arrested, from whom various quantities of narcotics were seized.

"During the investigation period, the following citizens were arrested: AV, 23 years old, EP, 22 years old, GV, 19 years old, SC, 22 years old and R. Gj., 22 years old, from whom various quantities of narcotics were seized," the announcement says.

Meanwhile, six other citizens remain wanted and work is ongoing to capture them and fully document the criminal activity.
