An anti-drug operation has been finalized by the Italian Police. According to Italian media, the Police have found and seized 172 kilograms of cocaine, which if it reached the market would be worth over 25 million euros.
Also, 3 people were arrested, two of whom are a brother and sister, respectively 28 and 21 years old, and a third, 43 years old: all without criminal records.
The operation was carried out by police in Bologna and Modena on February 6, after during surveillance duty, police officers noticed a stopped truck, whose driver, carefully, handed the two brothers a heavy yellow envelope.
At that moment, the police intervened and handcuffed the 3 Albanians.
Inside the large bag were 15 parallelepiped-shaped packages, which after analysis were found to contain cocaine with a total weight of 16,350 kilograms.
Checks were also carried out on the truck, where a large quantity of narcotics was also found.
The blocks of cocaine were hidden in a space created under some wooden planks.
The cocaine was found hidden inside the truck, divided into packages with a total weight of 172 kilograms.
What is striking is that some packages of cocaine have the logos of the Tirana football club.
The other packages feature a cockroach logo as well as the flags of Brazil and Portugal.
These logos can be a signal or sign for the sender or even the recipient of the narcotics.
Italian authorities have already launched investigations and suspect that this case is related to the arrest of an Albanian a few weeks ago, who had hidden 10 blocks of cocaine in his vehicle.
