Police have arrested a 40-year-old man who, in collaboration with seven other people, including the former head of the Kamza Football Club,  Naim Qarri , took 35-year-old Ervis Xhixha hostage and threatened him with property, demanding a sum of 70 thousand euros.

It is reported that at the time of his arrest, Fredi Keta, a resident of Tirana, gave police officers false identification.

Specialists of the Serious Crimes Investigation Sector, in cooperation with the services of the "Eagle" Special Force, based on information provided by intelligence, have arrested and detained citizen FK, 40 years old, resident of Tirana.

This citizen was declared wanted after the Tirana Court, following the investigations conducted within the framework of Operation "The Debt", assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offenses "Unlawful Deprivation of Liberty" and "Coercion by Threat or Violence for the Delivery of Property", committed in collaboration.

How the incident unfolded:

Police uncovered the kidnapping of a 35-year-old man, for whose release 70 thousand euros were demanded.

The name of Hektor Xheçukës, considered a person who is positioned in Ervis Martinaj's group, appeared again on the list of wanted persons, while the former head of the Kamza Football Club, Naim Qarri, was also involved in this incident.

It is learned that Hektor Xheçuka was involved in a hostage situation along with the former president of the Kamëz Club, Naim Qarri, and 5 other people.

In collaboration with each other, Tirana Police say they had taken 35-year-old Ervis Xhixha hostage and threatened him to get 70 thousand euros.

The Serious Crimes Investigation Sector of the Tirana Police had been investigating the kidnapping of 35-year-old Xhixha for at least 3 months.

The young man was taken hostage for at least 1 hour where he was raped by the perpetrators.

Police say the perpetrators demanded 70,000 euros from him. The victim, after being released by the perpetrators, filed a police report.

"Investigative actions have revealed that these citizens, in collaboration with each other, deprived a 35-year-old man of his liberty and threatened him for giving him property," the police announced.

The Serious Crimes Unit carried out proactive actions, where they managed to identify 7 people involved in the serious incident. The Tirana Court has imposed 7 security measures, including prison arrest for 4 of them, Tori (Hektor) Xheçuka, 36 years old, Aleksandër Osmani, 37 years old, Artan Pirraci, 50 years old and Fredi Keta.

Meanwhile, three others have been placed under house arrest, specifically Naim Qarri, 52, Sajmir Kolaveri, 42, and Adem Metkola, 46. They are charged with "Coercion by threat or violence for the release of property" and "Unlawful deprivation of liberty."

The measure was not only executed for Hektor Xheçuka and Fredi Keta. Xheçuka is also wanted on behalf of SPAK as being involved in the “Revanshi” file. Sources indicate that Xheçuka is suspected of having fled to Dubai. Hektor Xheçuka, on behalf of Ervis Martinaj, planned the murder of Durim Bami, a plan that came to light during the investigation after the analysis of conversations on the “SkyEÇ” application.

He is accused by SPAK of attempted murder of Durim Bami on November 4, 2020, attempted murder of Hamza Terziu, and providing the conditions to commit murder and illegal possession of weapons.

Xheçuka is suspected of being a hired killer and in this case it is suspected that he may have been the executor of the 35-year-old's hostage-taking on behalf of others, with whom he was in a financial conflict.

On the other hand, Ervis Xhixha, who was taken hostage, is also a well-known figure in the justice system, after he was arrested in 2019 for attempting to kill Bujar Beshiri in Zall-Herr, after a conflict with the latter, but then shot into the air.
