For several months, the Energy Regulatory Body has returned to the long-standing debate about the separation of the electricity tariff for bakeries from other dough and pastry products.

ERE has already asked the bread producers to start fulfilling the conditions in order to benefit from the preferential rate of 7.6 lek per kwh only from shops where bread is sold and not when other products are sold.

" Today (the meeting took place yesterday) at the request of the Presidency of the Association, a hearing took place in the premises of ERE, where a representative of the Association, Representatives of the Institution of ERE, Heads of FSHU (Supplier of Universal Distribution) and OSSHE leaders.

The purpose of this table was to solve the problems that bread producers have for the supply of electricity, the determination of the conditions that must be met by the bakeries that benefit from the electricity with 7.6 lek, the problem of the bakeries that have dough and pastry products as well as activities others of this type.

The meeting took place with tough but constructive debates, where all parties are interested in a final solution to these problems, where we firmly defended the interests of bread producers.

From the meeting, it was agreed to continue to hold other meetings for the technical and specific treatment of problems and their solutions, according to the conditions that are currently presented in the bakeries", says the announcement of the Association of Bread, Pastries and Doughs.

From 2018, according to ERE's decision on electricity tariffs for "bakeries and flour production for voltage 0.4 kV, the energy tariff is 7.6 lek per kwh, while for "bakeries and flour production at voltage 10 and 6 kV, the energy tariff is 7.1 ALL

Representatives of the association claimed for Monitor that for several months, ERE has asked bakeries to divide their premises into two activities, that is, where they have the service of trading pastry, other products, pies, etc., there should be a service fee of 14 Lek. at low voltage. The subsidized price of 7.6 Lek will be applied to the areas where there is mass bread production, where there are baking ovens or bread makers.

Gëzim Peshkopia from the Association of Bread, Pastries and Pastries told Monitor earlier that this requirement is technically impossible to implement the separation of an environment with two electricity billing lines. Peshkopia says that for years now, in bread shops, not only this product is sold, but also a variety of products, starting from other dough products, pastries, etc.
