An Israeli citizen has been detained at Rinas airport, after a large undeclared amount of money was found.

During the search, a total of 194 thousand euros were found on the 45-year-old.

Police Notification:

He tried to leave the Republic of Albania with 194,000 euros undeclared, the 45-year-old Israeli is being prosecuted.

The amount of money is seized.

As a result of the detailed checks at the entry/exit of the country, with the objective of preventing and ascertaining illegalities at the border, the services of the Border Police of Rinas, in cooperation with the customs services, have hit another case of non-declaration at the border crossing point, of significant amounts of money.

For this case, the materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where the proceeding began in a free state for the citizen V. Y., 45 years old, with Israeli citizenship, who during the search on the second line was found 194,000 euros that he intended to leave the Republic of Albania without declaring them in accordance with the law.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
