In the court session against Plaurent Dervishaj and Jualian Meçaj , accused of the murder of Andi Maloku in the assassination attempt that occurred in Shkozet, the cohabitant of Arben Mërkuri , who was killed in May 2022, testified .

Citizen Sh., who had lived with the deceased for 15 years, stated in court that she did not know any of his friends and that she had no knowledge of the circumstances of the murder.

She confessed that Arben Mërkuri had no problems with the justice system and that at the time of the assassination they were together in the apartment, when he left after a phone call and was shot as soon as he came down the stairs.

Dervishaj, present in the courtroom, asked the witness if she had heard accusations that Mërkuri had been a hired killer or had raped journalists. She denied all allegations.

Citizen Sh : I live in Sukth Durrës. Arben Mërkuri is my cohabitant. I have not known any of his friends. Arben Mërkuri passed away in May 2022. We have a shop in Sukth. He also worked in the municipality. He previously had the surname Ismaili. In 2020, my husband's sister died in Italy. I do not know Plaurent Derivshaj. We do not know anything about how he was killed. I have been cohabiting with Arben Mërkuri for 15 years. I do not know anything about my husband's friends or who he was with. I have two children from our cohabitation. I remember that he had a phone. There have never been any problems with the justice system. The day Arben was killed, we were together, someone called him on the phone and as he came down the stairs we heard gunshots. The son told me they killed his father. I do not know who did the murder. I have a regular business with documents.

Plarent Dervishaj: Have you heard what has been said about your husband? Your husband is said to have been a hired killer. No woman tells her husband to 'go kill'.

Citizen SH: That's not true.

Plaurent Dervishaj : Your husband raped two journalists, did you see it?

Citizen SH: I haven't seen it.
