The socialist mayor of Vau i Dejës, Kristian Shkreli, appeared before SPAK today, where he was charged with electoral corruption.
Shkreli received a summons from SPAK and today he appeared before the Special Prosecution Office.
Following suspicions that he bought votes in favor of Tom Doshi's PSD in the May 11 parliamentary elections, Shkreli's cell phone was seized in May by decision of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Division, and a search was also conducted.
As part of the investigation into electoral corruption, SPAK has also seized the mobile phones of several other PSD exponents suspected of being involved in the criminal activity of vote buying in the Shkodra region.
