Italian police arrested a 25-year-old Albanian man while distributing cocaine and is suspected of being part of a trafficking network in the Jesi area, in Ancona.
The young man was caught red-handed while preparing to sell cocaine near a popular shopping mall in the city.
Officers spotted a suspicious vehicle and pursued it, after discovering that the vehicle was being used by individuals involved in drug trafficking. After following the vehicle to the parking lot, officers intervened and stopped the driver, who was attempting to dispose of a package of drugs.
A subsequent search revealed 7 additional doses of cocaine in sealed packages ready for sale, as well as a hidden cell phone, evidence of drug trafficking activity.
The Albanian was illegally present in the country and unemployed, while driving a vehicle registered in the name of a person with a criminal record for similar crimes. He was arrested and made available to judicial authorities.
The court, in its assessment, ordered his prosecution and, after the trial, his immediate deportation to Albania within a week.
