The Tirana police announce that they have arrested a 31-year-old man, sentenced to 5 years and 4 months in prison, for "assistance in illegal border crossing" and for "disobeying the order of the police officer".

It is about Edison Ismaili, who was declared wanted after the Court of Pogradec had sentenced him to 5 years and 4 months of imprisonment for the above criminal acts.

"Finalized by Police Station No. 6, the coded police operation "Bridge". A citizen sentenced to 5 years and 4 months of imprisonment is put in handcuffs, for helping to illegally cross the borders and for disobeying the order of the Police officer.

Services of Police Station No. 6, following the work for locating, capturing and bringing to criminal responsibility the wanted citizens, based on the information provided during the operation, about the location of a wanted citizen, they organized and finalized the coded police operation " Brigade".

As a result of this operation, in the place called "Ura e Beshirit", the wanted citizen Edison Ismaili, 31 years old, resident of Tirana, was arrested.

This citizen was declared wanted after the Pogradec Judicial District Court sentenced him to 5 years and 4 months of imprisonment, for the criminal offenses of "Aiding illegal border crossing" and "Disobeying the order of a public order police officer", as in 2019, in Pogradec, he cooperated with other citizens to transport illegal immigrants, against payment.

The materials were handed over to the Prosecutor's Office for further action," the Tirana police announced.
