Jeff Bezos' superyacht arrives in Durrës, supplied with 170 thousand

The yacht "Koru" of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos arrives in Durrës.

While the price of oil in the market continues to rise, tourist yachts continue to see our country as the most preferred station in the region for fuel supply.

The superyacht has asked to stop at the largest Albanian port to be supplied with 170,000 liters of fuel, before resuming the voyage to Italy. With a value of 500 million dollars and production of 2023, it is the second largest sailing yacht in the world and the longest yacht built in the Netherlands with a length of 127 meters.

The yacht was delivered in Mallorca in April this year and uses the kinetic energy generated by the sails, but like most sailing yachts, it also uses engine power.

The supply of oil through the transit procedure brings the state 6.8 million Lek in this case through the recently imposed luxury tax. Currently, yachts get 1.1 euros per liter of oil, plus taxes.

According to the General Maritime Directorate in Durres, the number of tourist vessels that entered the ports of Durres, Vlora, Saranda and Shengjin for the period:

1.01.2023- 31.08.2023 there are 44 cruises and 1798 yachts until August 31.
