"I lost both my wife and my child. They were going to work, I don't know what happened, I lost everything" -

This is what the head of the Albanian family, who lost two of its members in a tragic accident, said through tears and great pain in his heart.

With tears in his eyes, the Albanian spoke about the unimaginable loss of his wife and son, for whom they had left for work.

The 43-year-old woman and her 21-year-old son were traveling by car this Friday morning, when suddenly at around 7:30 AM, their vehicle collided head-on with a truck, which they collided with hard, killing them on the spot.

While the exact circumstances of the accident are being investigated by local authorities who are working to fully uncover the incident, it is learned that the truck driver has also given his testimony.

The latter said that he was driving normally in his lane at a speed of approximately 75-80 km/h, the speed limit on the road he was passing, when he suddenly noticed a car that lost control, swerved and ended up in the opposite lane, colliding with the truck.

"Normally I'm in my lane, at 75 to 80 kilometers, because that's how far you have to go, you can't go any further, and suddenly a car comes towards me, it's lost control from the upper side, from the little Soul," he said.

He said he tried to move left to avoid the collision, but was unsuccessful :

"He lost control, he went in the opposite direction to me, he was trying to turn the wheel and I tried to go left to escape, I couldn't and he hit me and what happened happened," said the truck driver.

The family, originally from Albania, lived in Paleokomi. The 43-year-old mother and her 21-year-old son worked for the same company based on Ofryni beach and had set off early in the morning for work, but fate had other plans.

They suffered a fatal accident, forever closing their eyes next to each other and leaving behind an incurable pain for their family and loved ones.
