A family was plunged into mourning and an entire local community in Greece was left shocked by the tragic accident that took the lives of two people, a mother and son, 43 and 21 years old, of Albanian origin.

The tragic event occurred in the early hours of this Friday morning (August 7), as both of them were on their way to work, but fate had something else in store for them. Their final journey!

The 43-year-old woman and her 21-year-old son died instantly when the car they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck, in circumstances that are being investigated by authorities.

Footage of the accident that claimed the lives of two people was filmed by a camera installed on the truck and will be administered by the Greek authorities to help fully clarify the circumstances of the accident.

According to information cited by Greek media, the 21-year-old boy was driving the car, while his mother was a passenger in the front seat.

The collision was so strong that it was impossible for both mother and son to survive.

The family, originally from Albania, lived in Paleokomi and had built their lives in that area with dignity and hard work.

Mother and son worked at the same large real estate acquisition and management company, headquartered on the beach of Ofryn (Tuzla), and they were on their way there when fate had reserved the most tragic end for them.

They leave behind a family that will face an unimaginable loss. The father and daughter of the family now face a huge void, after losing two of their most loved people in a matter of seconds.
