A 31-year-old man was seriously injured as a result of a road accident that occurred in the early hours of Wednesday morning on the Lezhë-Shëngjin axis, near the monument.

According to preliminary information from journalist Martin Marku, the young man, citizen with the initials KG, resident of Shëngjin, while driving an "Audi" type vehicle, lost control of the vehicle and crashed first into a perimeter wall, and then into two vehicles parked next to the road.

As a result of the violent collision, the 31-year-old suffered multiple fractures.

After receiving first aid at the Emergency Room of the Lezha Regional Hospital, he was urgently transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana for specialized treatment.

Police services immediately arrived at the scene, carried out investigative actions and launched investigations to fully clarify the causes and circumstances of the accident.

Preliminary suspicions are that the accident may have occurred as a result of high speed, which caused the driver to lose control.
