53-year-old Luan Çota, who was seriously injured after a road accident that occurred a few days ago in the village of Funaras, Librazhd, has passed away at the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

The accident occurred near the village center, in the Orenja Administrative Unit, when the vehicle the victim was traveling in went off the road and crashed into the trees on the side of it.

According to preliminary information, the vehicle was driven by Besnik Laçku, who allegedly lost control of the vehicle while driving.

As a result of the collision, the two people in the vehicle were injured, while the 53-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was initially transported to Librazhd Hospital, then to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

Despite the intervention of doctors, he did not survive the injuries he sustained.

From the verifications carried out after the accident, the police have determined that the driver of the vehicle is suspected to have been under the influence of alcohol.

He is accompanied by blue uniforms, while investigations continue to fully clarify the circumstances of the incident.
