Criminal amnesty passes today in Parliament, Gogu: 466 people are released immediately, 869 others receive reduced sentences

The Criminal Amnesty will be approved today in the Parliament. The Minister of Justice, Toni Gogu, stated that 466 people will benefit from the implementation of the amnesty, who will be released. According to him, among the beneficiaries are 11 women and 1 child.

Gogu also announced that 869 convicts will benefit from a reduction in their sentences, within the framework of the implementation of the amnesty law.

He emphasized that the process is being followed by the responsible institutions, in accordance with the criteria set by the legislation in force.
