DP MP, Flutura Açka has made a strong denunciation from the rostrum of the Assembly regarding the government agreement to give the management of the Butrint Archaeological Park to a private foundation.

She stated that one of the board members of the Butrint management foundation has spoken out against it several times, and has even published books against Butrint. According to the Democrat MP, board member Richard Hobbs has stated that Butrint's stay outside Greece when the borders were divided was a major disaster. 

"I have been following the Butrint case closely, I have asked some of my colleagues if they have read that famous 130-page plan, I have not received any answer, they do not know at all what is being done. They voted for him with their eyes closed. Some names that have dealt with archeology, have spoken on the subject, no one has heard. A deviation that could happen to the history of Butrint, a certain Richard Hobs, has published books against Butrint, saying it was a disaster that the division of borders took Butrint out of Greece.
