Election crimes/ Dumani: Investigations have been launched for 43 reports

The head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, stated that 192 cases of suspected electoral crimes have been identified. According to him, 43 criminal proceedings have been registered, which have entered the active investigation phase, while for 43 other cases it has been decided not to initiate criminal proceedings.

Also, 40 indictments have been sent for jurisdiction to the district prosecutor's offices, while 17 others have been merged with existing proceedings.

"Investigations for a significant portion of the proceedings are active," Dumani declared, noting that searches have been conducted in homes, personal offices, and 20 court decisions have been executed allowing the inspection of documents and materials of investigative interest.

SPAK has seized evidence and documents that serve to uncover suspected criminal offenses. Dumani stressed that many of the reports filed by political parties have been "incomplete and often inaccurate."

According to the head of the Special Prosecution Office, three decisions not to initiate an investigation have been appealed, but the Special Court Against Corruption and Organized Crime (SCCOC) has upheld the SPAK decisions, not accepting the appeals.
