An Albanian drug trafficker, who was caught with 18 doses of cocaine, has been jailed by a court in Britain.
Officers were on patrol in Cambridge on March 26 when they saw a silver Mazda they suspected was connected to drug trafficking.
Sitting in the driver's seat was 26-year-old Mariglen Sadiku, and the search revealed he was carrying 18 bags of cocaine in the vehicle and in his pockets, worth more than £650. They also found £207 in cash.
Further checks revealed that Sadik, of no fixed abode, had no established status or visa and was driving without a valid license or insurance.
At Cambridge Crown Court on Friday (May 30), Sadiq was sentenced to three years in prison after previously pleading guilty to possession with intent to supply drugs, possession of criminal property, driving without a licence and driving without insurance.
