Shkodra Police have finalized another anti-drug operation in the highland area, catching a 62-year-old man, also a Forestry employee, in flagrante delicto, who was masked to avoid identification and was taking care of narcotic plants planted on the plot.

During the operation codenamed "Coordinates", 98 narcotic plants were discovered by a police drone in the village of Vig in Vau i Dejës.

Zef Lazri , a resident of this village, was placed in handcuffs .

Police announcement:

"Following the investigative and operational actions carried out within the framework of the anti-cannabis police operation, codenamed "Coordinates", the Crime Investigation specialists of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat caught red-handed and arrested citizen ZL, 62 years old, resident of the village of Vig," the police announced.

From investigations conducted using proactive methods, it is suspected that Lazri, an employee of the Vig forestry sector, cultivated 98 narcotic plants on a public plot.

The narcotic plants were destroyed by burning.

"The procedural materials were passed to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action."
