Police have arrested a 57-year-old man in Malësia e Madhe today. The arrested man is Aleksandër Malaj , 57, a resident of Bajzë. 

Malaj was arrested by the blue forces after the Court of General Jurisdiction had assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison". 

This is for the criminal offenses " Cultivation of narcotic plants " and " Production and sale of narcotics ". 

He is suspected of being an accomplice in the cultivation of 780 cannabis plants in Bajza, which were found and destroyed by the Police services a few months ago. 

Police announcement:

As a result of continuous checks to locate and apprehend wanted citizens, based on information obtained operationally, the Crime Investigation specialists of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat have apprehended and detained the citizen: Aleksandër Malaj, 57 years old, resident of Bajzë.

This citizen was declared wanted after the Court of General Jurisdiction had imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him, for the criminal offenses "Cultivation of narcotic plants" and "Production and sale of narcotics".

He is suspected of being an accomplice in the cultivation of 780 cannabis plants in Bajza, which were found and destroyed by the Police services on 18.09.2025.

The procedural materials were transferred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action.
