NAMES: 4 police officers arrested in Shkodra, after Hasan Verracaku's

The Police Supervision Agency (Shkodra - Lezhe Regional Directorate) has arrested four police officers in flagrante delicto suspected of committing the criminal offense of "Abuse of Office", provided for by Article 248 of the Criminal Code.

Immediately after receiving information that citizen Hasan Verracaku, against whom the personal security measure "House Arrest" had been imposed, was not found in the apartment where he was supposed to be kept under surveillance and in custody, AMP specialists carried out the relevant investigative and procedural actions, which resulted in the arrest in flagrante delicto of the following police officers:

* Inspector Dorjan Hasandoçaj;

* Inspector Gentian Xhanari;

* Inspector Dioniz Hotaj;

* Employees Ridvan Zefi,

on duty at the Operational Corps of the National Security Unit Shkodra

Meanwhile, citizen Hasan Verracaku is suspected of having committed the elements of the criminal offense "Removing a prisoner from his place of residence", provided for by Article 323 of the Criminal Code, by violating the conditions of the security measure imposed by court decision.

The procedural materials have been referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra for further action.

The Police Oversight Agency remains fully committed to protecting the law, institutional integrity and citizens' trust in security institutions.
