The criminal plan for the execution of the businessman Eduard Reçi had started on November 8, but his execution has not been carried out.
Shkëlqim Duka, the police officer at Police Station No. 2 in Tirana, from 19:00 in the evening until 23:00 was hiding on the emergency stairs of a hotel, which is very close to the place where the incident happened.
This is proven by the security cameras, which also show an object that appears to be a firearm with binoculars.
But despite the execution attempt from the 8th onwards, the crime was committed only on the 13th of November.
The police, despite the arrest of the two brothers Shkëlqim and Florjan Duka, still have not found the crime weapon.
In fact, none of them have released any voice for the investigative group, remaining silent.
The police had provided information to the police officer as well as to the long-standing conflict between the brothers Duka and Eduard Reçit.
It turns out that Shkelqim Duka completed his studies at the Police Academy in Turkey, and while he was known by the group of officers for his desire to shoot with firearms, especially those with snipers.
The police have extended the investigation to a third person who is believed to have helped the brothers in carrying out the execution.
The businessman Eduard Reçi was killed around 23:00 on Wednesday (November 13, 2024), under the building where he lived, which he built himself, on "Faik Konica" street in Tirana, in front of the Faculty of History and Philology. The 52-year-old died in the hospital.
Eduart Reçi was with his wife in the backyard when he was shot and fell to the ground unconscious. His wife told investigators that she thought she was knocked down by some of the firecrackers that went off as camouflage at the same time she was shot.
