Kristi Bixheku, the soldier of Laert Haxhiu's gang, is extradited from the
Kristi Bixheku's arrival in Rinas

Kristi Bixheku, a 30-year-old man declared internationally wanted, has been extradited from the Netherlands to Albania, following a successful operation carried out by Interpol Tirana in cooperation with Dutch authorities.

Bixheku, born in Lushnja, was declared wanted after the security measure "Arrest with imprisonment" was imposed on him by the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Elbasan.

Bixheku is accused of a number of criminal offenses, including “Destruction of property with explosives”, “Providing material conditions to commit murder”, “Structured criminal group” and “Commitment of criminal offenses by a structured criminal group”. He is suspected of having, in collaboration with other citizens, secured the explosive material used in a failed assassination attempt in Lushnja, on December 31, 2022.

Bixheku's extradition is the result of close cooperation between Interpol Tirana and Interpol The Hague/Netherlands, leading to his arrest and extradition to Albania.
