A police officer in Kukës hit an 11-year-old child with his vehicle.

The incident happened this Thursday morning on the "Bucaj-Kukës" road axis, while the 25-year-old officer was off duty.

The 11-year-old was urgently sent to the hospital where he is receiving the necessary medical care, while the Police Surveillance Agency announces that it has started investigations into the case.

"This morning, on the "Bucaj-Kukës" road axis, citizen KC, 26 years old, (police employee at the Kukës Police Station, outside of duty hours), while driving his vehicle, caught with the vehicle mirror, a 11 -year-old, who is receiving treatment in the hospital and is out of danger for life. Procedural actions are being carried out by the Regional Directorate of the Kukës-Diber Police Surveillance Agency and the Prosecutor's Office, to clarify the circumstances of the accident", the police informs.
