The appeal of GJKKO has left unchanged the security measure of detention in prison for Julian Meçajn, accused of the assassination of former prosecutor Arjan Ndoja and his friend Pellumb Muharremi.

It is learned that Julian Meçaj had requested that a milder measure be assigned to him by the court.

Also, Meçaj is accused by SPAK that at the request of Plaurent Dervishaj, in cooperation with other people, in some cases they tried to carry out other assassinations against Arjan Ndoje, Pellumb Muharrem and other people as well.

Meçaj was deported in August of this year from Dubai together with Plaurent Dervishaj.

The attack happened at around 16:00, on the Durrës-Tirana highway, near the Shkozeti overpass, where armed men who were traveling in a gray Benz vehicle fired more firearms at the car where the driver Andi Maloku was traveling. , former prosecutor Arian Ndoja and Aleksandër Laho known as Rrumi i Shijaku.

From the shooting with firearms, they received wounds in different parts of the body and as a result Andi Maloku lost his life in the assassination attempt, while Arian Ndoja and Aleksandër Laho survived their injuries.

The Special Prosecutor's Office informs that the identified perpetrators who participated in the assassination are Plaurent Dervishaj, Julian Meçaj, Bledar Polovina, Amar Shkëmbi (alias Dritan), Ramazan Rraja and Endrit Sinani, and co-defendants in a related proceeding Redjan Rraja and Ariol Halilaj.

According to SPAK, the defendants have set up the necessary infrastructure for the purpose of executing the targeted persons to be killed, providing firearms, vehicles and stolen license plates that they would use to pursue the victims. Through their collaborators, they were able to obtain information about the movements of targets from state databases.

"From the administered acts, it has been proven that the defendants are committed to facilitating the position of the arrested persons, against the guarantee that the latter would not implicate the accomplices involved in these crimes", reports SPAK.

According to the Special Prosecutor's Office, Redjan Rraja and Ariol Halilaj, who have been charged, are currently being tried by the Special Court, while the acts for the identification of other accomplices who participated in these events have been separated.

It has also uncovered other criminal events involving the criminal group.
