On Monday, the "Pritja" exhibition, curated by photographer and director Artan Korenica, was opened at the "Agimi" Art Center. This project, which he has been working on for 4 years, is centered around a bunch of photos where different people are waiting for their loved ones who never come back.

One of the photos has behind it the story of Ferdonije Qerkezi, whose table has been empty for 24 years. Two of her sons were killed, while her husband and two other sons disappeared in the Kosovo war, explains Jonid Jorgji, director of the Creative Industry Agency. 

Jonid Jorgji: That photo comes from the last scene in which that woman heard the news about the disappearance of all her family members. In one day during the war in Kosovo, all the family members of that woman disappeared in that house and only that mother remained at that full table, laid out and without even... even to this day, the bodies of her family members, which makes the story more and more painful.

Jorgji adds that the exhibition also includes a short film.

Jonid Jorgji: Her There was also a film shown to show the life or the last day of that horrible news that happened in that family. It was a 12-minute film which aroused a lot of curiosity but also had many sensitive reactions to the entire audience that saw it. Mrs. Ferdonije was also there, who amplified more and more the pain and emotion that we all experienced.

The exhibition will remain open until the end of June.
