Former chief democrat Lulzim Basha has shared a 'piece' of his campaign for the post of chairman in the Democratic party.

Unlike his competitor for this post, Gjergj Hani, Basha has chosen to share after meetings, goals or features of the past through a Facebook status.

Basha has chosen to bear the blame for the PD crisis, but he still believes that he has the right experience to resolve this issue.

"The Democratic Party is the first opposition party, the party of Albanian hope, and without any doubt it should return to the place that history and the Albanians have given it, certainly in a strong alliance with the USA, Great Britain and the EU.

We will make a clear and definitive separation of the future from the past. For us there are no accomplices and co-sufferers!

We are very late in the process of renewing the party. And for this I accept my responsibility. We will put the energy of youth forward and the maturity and wisdom of experience as support for it," writes Basha.

He also had an answer for Berishme and the criticisms against him, where according to him they can find the solution in the vetting of politicians.

"We separate ourselves from the mentality of the crowd, where the blame becomes collective to escape responsibility. Those who break the law and abuse power are simply guilty. The vetting of politicians is the most important contribution that anyone who considers themselves clean can make for an uncorrupted and incriminated politics, which puts an end to the politics of mudslinging.

This confrontation is not easy at all. They have spent 32 years in power and are together to maintain the status quo. But, as history proves, when they seem the strongest, their empire collapses the fastest.

Me besimin tuaj do të jem kryetari i Partisë Demokratike dhe politikani që jep një model ndryshe nga ai konfluktual, me të cilin qytetarët janë mbingopur gjatë tranzicionit. Do të jem politikani që problemet personale të pushtetit, nuk i kthen në problemin e partisë, aq më pak të Shqipërisë.

Modelin e kam dhënë edhe gjatë kësaj kohe, tekas shumëkush nuk ka qenë dakord, unë nuk i jam përgjigjur baltës me baltë. Në fund të fundit, ky është modeli që refuzojnë shqiptarët dhe nga i cili përfiton kundërshtari ynë.

Ky është misioni i ri i Partisë tonë. Një parti moderne, që reflekton kohën, shoqërinë dhe nevojat e saj, që respekton kontributet, garanton karrierën, forcon meritokracinë, e hapur ndaj të rinjve dhe mendimeve të reja. Ky është modeli që duhet t'u japim shqiptarëve, si shembull i ndryshimit që po ndërmarrim për Shqipërinë.”- shkruan Basha.

Lulzim Basha and the only candidate in front of him, Gjergji Hani, have started the campaign to convince the democrats to trust them, for the first time for the umpteenth time, with the direction of the party.

The campaign will last from June 24 to July 27, as decided by the leadership of the DP during the almost 10-hour meeting.
