Unprecedented, but the protest appears to have escalated into hate speech and violence against media teams.
The incidents that began on Thursday morning continued throughout the afternoon, where this time a group of people without integrity and morals physically attacked and insulted the Top News team.
A journalist who was on duty together with the cameraman, who had been on the ground for days to cover the protest with full transparency every day despite the long and exhausting hours, with the sole interest of serving the public at all times, fell victim to attacks on the 33rd day of the rally.
Some people, incited by other, malicious factors, are pushing protesters to attack journalists and media crews. Media coverage remains a challenge for many journalists, but the violence that protesters are inciting and the calls are harming the protest and seriously endangering the lives of journalists.
These cases should be evaluated by the authorities, but also by all groups of organizers who should refrain and not continue with these malicious attitudes.
