Isuf Jaçaj, the 58-year-old executed by TNT explosion on the evening of October 5 in neighborhood no. 3 of Saranda, was the father of 31-year-old Kalus Jaçaj, who is in prison for "supporting the perpetrator of the crime", as a participant in the event of 17.07.2025 where 43-year-old Ramadan Zoto alias Canaj wounded with a firearm in neighborhood no. 4 of Saranda, Gëzim Hajdaraj and Ernest Lama from Kamza due to a conflict over property on the coast.
Immediately after the incident, the police announced a search for the suspected perpetrator of the injury, Ramadan Canaj, his brother Erjon Canaj, 36, and Artan Murataj, along with Kalus Jaçaj, as "supporters of the perpetrator" and "failure to report the crime."
But what help did Klaus Jaçaj, Ramadan Zoto alias Canaj, give to Kalus Jaçaj? Sources for News 24 indicate that Klaus Jaçaj hid the perpetrator of the injury in his house to escape the revenge of the opposing party, then Ramadan Zoto alias Canaj fled towards the city of Korça with the destination Greece but was discovered and arrested by the blue uniforms in Korça.
During the handcuffing, they found a pistol with a cartridge ready to fire. Sensing him, Isuf Jaçaj, Kalus Jacaj's father, called his son, asking him to surrender to the police.
"You must surrender yourself to the police for supporting the perpetrator of the crime, otherwise I will come find where you are hiding and hand you over to the police with my own hands. You injured two young men, do you understand?" the victim told his son.
Klaus Jaçaj helped the perpetrator of the injury hide in his house and then enabled him to leave for Korça. After these actions, four days later, on July 22, Klaus Jaçaj's car was blown up with explosives.
The criminal group hiding behind the two injured young men, Gëzim Hajdaraj and Ernest Lama from Kamza, planted TNT on a BMW car owned by Kalus Jacaj, just a few meters from his apartment.
"Surrender Ramadan Canaj, the perpetrator of the injury, otherwise we will kill you and your family," this was the threat that Kalus Jaçaj received.
Revenge would not spare his father, who placed 800 grams of explosives under his car, leaving him dead on the spot. Isuf Jacaj, despite having a criminal record in the past, had been working in the tourism sector for many years, taking tourists on a tour of the Saranda coast.
