A woman claimed to the police that it is not only her husband who is abusing her, but the entire village that came to his defense. According to the file, the woman, who lives alone with the children after denouncing her husband for violence and for this he ended up in prison, was abandoned by the entire village.

For this reason, she says, according to police sources, that the villagers where she lives have been influenced by her husband, who, although in a cell for domestic violence, continues to abuse her through the orders he gives to fellow villagers.

The 43-year-old woman has the initials B. L and lives in Zall Bastar area. The police informed that the couple has five children and that they lived by working in the village as farmers. She mentions to the police that she lives together with all other family members.

"One day when I came back I found the girl crying and when I asked her she told me. I could not tolerate it and decided to report it. So the man was arrested for domestic violence. But currently, out of all the children, only one of the boys maintains communication with his father, while the others refuse to talk to him", the 43-year-old begins her complaint.

The police quote part of their report about how life became difficult for the village as soon as the man was arrested, they took a stand.

"The man has blocked us in everything. He spoke on the phone with the villagers and told them to notify the drivers of the cars that take the village products that we produce, not to serve me and not to sell anything. So they are afraid and refuse to serve us or even transport us. That's why I'm stuck and I have nowhere to take the goods I produce and nowhere to sell them."


Abandoned by her fellow villagers who she blames for blocking her to live, the 43-year-old continues:

"He sent us word through the villagers not to work on the lands because they are his," he says. I haven't worked the land for a year because I'm afraid of him, even though he's in prison."

The woman tells the police that she has been left without any income, except for the economic assistance provided by the state.

“Para ca ditëve mori në telefon nga burgu, telefonoi djalin dhe i tha kur të dal do t’ju vras. Do ta vras mamin se nuk më del inati që më ka futur në burg. Mos t’iu gjej te shtëpia”, citon 43-vjeçarja të ketë thënë kryefamiljari përmes telefonit të qelisë.
