The Ministry of the Interior has reacted to the rape of a 3-year-old girl in the "Stinët" kindergarten in the "Ali Demit" area in Tirana.

The Ministry of the Interior says that it strongly condemns violent actions against children and has asked the State Police and the Prosecutor's Office to fully clarify the circumstances of the event reported in Tirana, in order to take immediate and strict measures against those responsible.

Meanwhile, three police officers of Tirana Police Station No. 1 have been suspended from duty by order of the General Director of the State Police, Muhamet Rrumbullaku, and a disciplinary investigation has been launched against them for serious violations related to the violence against the child 3 years old in the "Stinët" kindergarten.

From the conducted investigations, it was found that after the child's parents denounced the violence in the kindergarten, the investigative structures carried out procedural actions and referred the materials to the Prosecutor's Office for evaluation within the deadline set by the law.

However, it has been established that the actions were not carried out completely as the video footage of the cameras located in the garden premises was not reviewed.
