The 13-year-old who was found drowned in the lake of Shumbat village in Dibër is suspected to have suffered a heart attack as a result of the very cold water.

It was the family members who reported his disappearance to the police and then started searching near the lake since he was last seen in this part of the village.

The family members searched around the village, then the residents joined them, but they could not find him.

Around 7:30 p.m., Ardi Sulejmani, the 13-year-old's uncle, notified the police and around 11:30 p.m. they were able to pull the body out of the lake, which is located about 300 meters above the village.

At first they found the slippers left at the dam, then they started searching in the water. The residents were also helped by a German couple who had set up the campsite on the other side of the lake, who told them that they had seen a boy bathing around 17:00.
