All the coordinators of the Electoral Staff of Fredi Beler, the winning candidate in the elections of May 14, 2023, of the "Together We Win" coalition in the municipality of Himare, turned out to have been intercepted in order to arrest them for corrupt actions in buying votes.

"Ora News" learns that 7 people among them, the candidate himself who was arrested on May 12 in Himare, Alfred Beleri and his associate, Pandeli Kokaveshi, were put under surveillance by the court of Vlora, which appointed the prosecution and the police to carry out surveillance , photographs and their follow-up in the field.

All this must be done within a period of 15 days, starting on May 8, 2023.

So from this day the persons identified by the court as Alfred Beleri, Sihat Guraj, Bashkim Devacaj, Andrea Zeneli, Koço Balla, Bledar Jonushaj and Pandeli Kokaveshi, have been intercepted and followed in the field by the police forces.

All these people were part of the electoral staff of the candidate Alfred Beleri, for whom the police and the prosecution informed the court of Vlora, that they bought votes with euros and lek, exerted pressure on the inhabitants of Himara that if they did not vote for Fredi Beleri, they would they took away their pension or Greek passports.

Their pursuit was stopped only at midnight on May 12, 2023, when the police arrested Alfred Beler, Pandeli Kokavesh and escorted all the people who had been intercepted.

Although the police escorted them at midnight on May 12, for 5 of the people involved in this investigation, the phone tapping continued for another 11 days, implementing the 15-day deadline set by the Vlora court.

During the surveillance and interception of Sihat Guraj, Bashkim Devacaj, Andrea Zeneli, Koço Balla, Bledar Jonushaj, the police could not find legal evidence for their implication in the activity of buying votes on behalf of the candidate of the "Bashke Fitomje" coalition, Alfred Beleri.

Five of the coordinators were released, while the arrest was communicated only to Alfred Beler and Pandeli Kokavesh.

A day ago, Kokaveshi was able to be released from prison by the Court of Special Appeal in Tirana, while Alfred Beleri, the winner of the May 14 elections in Himarë Municipality, continues to remain in prison.
