The lawyer of the former minister Saimir Tahiri announced that one of the reasons for his client's release was the health condition of his wife. Maks Haxhia revealed that Tahiri met the 5 conditions to be released from the cell. 

" Saimir Tahiri had several conditions that he was released. His wife has a health crisis. Tahiri met 5 conditions to be released. The decision cannot be appealed. He will keep in touch with the probation service," declared Tahiri's lawyer . 

Today, the decision was made that the former Minister of the Interior, Saimir Tahiri, will be released from his cell and serve the rest of his sentence at home. Tahir is to serve 1 year, 7 months and 11 days at home as the remainder of his sentence. According to his lawyer, Tahiri met the conditions of alternative punishment.

It was a medical expertise presented by the defense lawyers who favored Saimir Tahir in the decision that he no longer serve the remaining sentence in the cell. Saimir Tahniri will serve the rest of his sentence, of almost 1 year in prison, at home
