Jetlira Elezi, 37 years old, died on the spot after being stabbed by her 37-year-old husband Ramis Mici. The serious incident happened in the early hours of today's morning in Elbasan, in an apartment in the "Skënderbej" neighborhood.
According to the testimony of the owner of the apartment who had rented the house to them, only 3 days ago the police had handcuffed Ramis for violence. From that moment when the 37-year-old returned to the apartment, she no longer lived on the first floor of the rented apartment, but the owners had rented her a room in the basement, where the serious crime took place.
The owner of the apartment, Xhaferr Zdrava, describes in detail the serious incident and how he found it covered in blood. He says he saw the last moment when the perpetrator left the house.
While the lady of the house, Leme Zdrava, says that apart from the first episode of three days, they did not find any problems or fights. According to her, their relationship with the couple was cold.
Official sources from the prosecution clarify that the woman was not provided with a protection order while she had only made a request.
Both were divorced and each had two children from previous marriages, while they had none together. Jetlira was carrying one of her children, while Ramis' children are being carried by his ex-wife. Fortunately, the victim's daughter was not in the apartment when the incident happened, as she was at her father's.
It is learned that they both worked, the man dealt with plasters while the woman worked in a fast food restaurant. Therefore, there are doubts that the event happened for reasons of jealousy and not economic.
The perpetrator was from the village of Selitë in Mollas, while the victim was from a village in Belshi. In the meantime, the police have been chasing the perpetrator, while the combing of the area for his capture is ongoing.
