The Police of Korça have reacted regarding yesterday's arrest, where a person threw the pistol in the garbage bin as soon as he saw the Police.

As part of the "Matrix" operation, 26-year-old Klajdi Asllani was arrested with a previous criminal record in the field of crimes against the person. Sources say he was released from prison a year ago.

"Police services have made it possible to locate the 26-year-old in district No. 14, Korçë. This citizen, having just found out that he was being followed by the Police, tried to leave quickly and pulled out the loaded gun from his belt. which he threw in a bin, on the side of the road. The weapon was seized by the Police services, as material evidence." it is stated in the Police announcement.

The police have prosecuted a 17-year-old man for the criminal offense of "preventing a crime", since at the time of his arrest, he was accompanied by the KA citizen. The 17-year-old suspect was aware that the KA citizen was carrying a firearm.

The police announce that the work continues to fully clarify and document the circumstances of this event, which, for investigative reasons, we cannot disclose.

The materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of First Instance Korça, for further actions.
