A very serious incident happened on Saturday in Përmet after the boy strangled his mother. The case shocked public opinion.

Journalist Dorina Muhaj was a few meters away from the Muhollari family's apartment where the son, Albi, only 24 years old, took his mother's life by suffocating her with plastic. According to her, only the victim and the perpetrator were in the apartment at the time of the incident. The neighbors have not heard anything. When the father went, he tried to prevent the crime, but it was too late. After killing the 65-year-old mother, Albi tried to escape, but was soon caught by the police.

The young man had been showing mental health problems for several days. What is known is that he had studied in America and had returned home for 4 days. His father tried to ask for help, after he noticed the problems in his son, but according to the evidence, he did not manage to get a doctor's signature for the boy to be treated with medical help. According to the witnesses, the author of this serious incident was an excellent student, but since adolescence he had shown signs of aggression and violence.

"He suffocated her with plastic. According to the testimonies we received, we are told that the family lived, went and came to America, where the daughters of this family and Albi lived for years, at the same time, who had gone there to study. He had finished his studies and returned to his family, i.e. in Përmet, in the "Partizani" neighborhood only 4 days ago. He had been showing mental health problems for several days. His father went to ask for help, at least according to the testimonies at the hospital, but also at the Përmet police. But he could not succeed because according to him the doctor's signature was missing so that the boy could be treated with medical help. The 24-year-old was a, let's say, excellent boy and at least those residents who know him said that he didn't show any problems, at least among the neighbors.

We still do not have an official confirmation regarding the testimony. What we can say is based on the evidence that we managed to get even outside the cameras, it is affirmed that the boy had aggressive signs even in adolescence, where he expressed this through the actions and games he chose to play. He went to America with a scholarship and was an excellent student. The problems appeared only 4 days ago when he arrived in Përmet, where his father understood and asked for help", reported the journalist.

Neighbors in Përmet have also spoken about this event. One of the residents said that the victim was very hardworking and that the incident left her speechless.

"She was a very good woman, very hardworking, tireless. We don't know what to talk about. We were speechless when we found out. They lived here. She used to go to America and come here as well. We are surprised" , said the neighbor.
