Paulin Markaj alias Paulin Gjergji

With the suspicion that they derive from criminal activity, the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana requested today the seizure of the assets of citizen Ndue Gjergjit and his family members.

But in fact, the properties worth 20 million euros seized in Tirana are said to belong to Paulin Markaj alias Paulin Gjergji.

Gjergji was also known as Ndue Gjergji, who was convicted in Italy for two episodes of drug trafficking.

Paulin Gjergji was killed in the bar " A and A " in Mamurras, Laçi, together with Bujar Lika.

Ndue Gjergji, according to the Prosecution, had as his previous name the identity Paulin Markaj identified by Interpol Holland as being investigated for money laundering.

This citizen, says the capital's Prosecutor's Office, is known for drug-related crimes.

In 2011, citizen Paulin Markaj was released from prison where he was arrested for drugs and was deported from Italy.

It is further believed that he returned to Albania where he invested in 31 assets. On May 30, 2020, in Kurbin, Markaj, also known as Paulin Gjergji, was killed in a double assassination attempt, while Bujar Lika was killed along with him, and Kreshnik Tusha was injured./ Ora
