New details have emerged about the murder of Portuguese tourist Luis Miguel Varela Mendez, an event that occurred a few days ago in Ksamil and for which 11 people were arrested. 

The investigative file also includes the testimony of Adib Ghanmi, a Frenchman who was with the 20-year-old and others when the incident occurred.

The young man said they were partying at the "Principote" club and then continued their stay on the beach. There, according to Ghanmi, a young Albanian man, around 25-30 years old, approached them, insulting one of them and hitting him on the head.

He said that the situation escalated into a fight and that another person had also arrived at the scene, which from the description is Sokrat Vata, who according to him was holding a knife in his hand.

The Frenchman stated that Vata initially stabbed a friend of theirs in the leg, and then stabbed Luis Miguel Varela Mendez in the heart.

"I was with my friends, seven people, and we were celebrating at the "Principote" club, and after the party was over, we were hanging out on the beach.

A person came there, who was wearing short green clothes, aged 25-30, normal body, short hair, who was Albanian, but spoke French and insulted a friend of mine by calling her mother, who said: why are you insulting me, that mother is sacred. Then this person hit him with his head, we all got into a conflict.

Then a person dressed in white, with long hair, came, holding a knife in his hand, and first stabbed a friend of mine named Tourpal in the leg, and then he also stabbed my friend, who was stabbed in the heart.

"At this moment, people started screaming, and about 10-15 security guards came in the direction, who I'm not sure if they got into a conflict because I grabbed the person who shot me in the head by the hands, but he pushed me and I fell into the water," the testimony states.

During questioning, the prosecution asked Ghanmi if he could identify the alleged perpetrator. He stated that he would recognize him if he saw him.

Investigators then presented him with a photograph of Sokrat Vata, whom the French citizen identified as the person who stabbed the Portuguese tourist.
