The tragic event in Himarë, where 7-year-old Jonada Avdia lost her life, could have been avoided if the border police of Vlora had taken measures after complaints and denunciations from citizens.
According to Neës24, a few days before the serious event, there were alerts to the border police of Vlora, not only about the boat driven by former officer Arjan Tase, but also about other boats that were sailing and moving in the water space of the coast of the coastline from Porto Palermo to Potami beach.
It is learned that the alerts came from citizens' denunciations and complaints, but also from information from other structures and services.
The Border Police did not take measures, even though they had information about Arjan Tase's boat and knew that it was being used by an officer.
This is one of the reasons that AMP is investigating the chain of command of the Border Police of Vlora for the criminal offense of abuse of duty.
For this reason, after the serious incident in Himara, the Director of the State Police, Gladis Nano, dissolved the entire chain of command of the Vlora Border Directorate, dismissing them.
